This paper analyzes aspects pertaining to the psychology of witnesses and victims in criminal trials, by pointing out the influence of stress and trauma on the credibility of testimony. The importance of efficiently managing perjury is underlined to ensure an equitable trial. The paper points out the presence of psychological factors which play a crucial role in determining the credibility of testimony and in correctly recalling traumatic events.Downloads
