Abstract

Compossessorates are social unions instituted with the object of sharing the exploitation of the stock of wood. In Olt County, there are two prevalent types of compossessorates: the former boyars’ compossessorates (of genealogical consuetudinary system) and the former serfs’ compossessorates (of non genealogical consuetudinary system).
