Transforming Europe: EU’s gender policy

Abstract

The essay is a rather descriptive one, focused on the EU’s gender policy, especially on the European Commission’s Strategy for equality between men and women (2010-2015). The goals of the European Commission are rather optimistic and they focus on the economic challenges and growth. It will be interesting to have future research on the implementation of the Strategy at the member states level, to see if the Commission’s goals would be achieved.
