Abstract

The paper presents the general definitions of and particular approaches to identity in social human sciences (philosophy, psychology, and sociology). It is an introduction to general aspects of identity by making an incursion through dictionaries and encyclopedias and by a quick overview of some social-human scientists’ theories.
