Identity Transformations at the Third Age

Abstract

We live in an increasingly growing old world, which affects us all, from all points of view. Besides the economic, political, or cultural effects, the effects of aging are devastating, especially at the individual and social levels. The present paper brings into discussion the identity transformation at the third age and the passing, in the modern world, from self-esteem to social stigma.
