Abstract

This study looked at the moderation effect of activism on the relationship between psychological well-being and political anxiety. Data was collected between the two election points of the 2025 presidential election via a survey of Romanian college students doing their studies in their home country or abroad. Two moderation analyses were conducted to assess the correlation between the variables. Results showed activism was a significant positive predictor of both well-being and political anxiety when each were entered as the dependent, but there was no interaction effect between activism and psychological well-being or anxiety, when each were entered as the independent. We found no differences in moderation between the groups.
