The Role of Forensic Medicine in the Study of the Acts of Hitting or Other Acts of Violence

Abstract

Forensic medicine has an important role in establishing the truth regarding the offence of striking and other violence, the forensic examination being the principal exhibit in a legal process. The obligation of examining the victim’s body in order to identify possible traumatic lesions is settled in Art. 14 paragraph 1 of the Romanian Criminal Procedure Code.
