Abstract

The relationship between individuals and the environment is an increasingly studied topic, from different perspectives and methodologies, in different geographical and cultural settings. The present study investigates students' lifestyles, their attitudes and behaviors that have an impact on the environment, their level of awareness and motivations for these behaviors, and their willingness to change them, to voluntarily reduce their personal carbon footprint. To answer these questions, we conducted a survey. Although students are concerned about environmental issues, they are not aware of the impact of their lifestyle on the environment, but they are willing to adopt pro-environmental behaviors.
