Abstract

The investment in children’s education represents a condition for their social success. The affiliation to a certain social class, namely to a certain ethnic group, generates determinants both of a social and cultural kind which will influence, for certain, the children’s access to the educational services, and their continuity. The aim of this paper is to illustrate the way in which affiliation to the Rum ethnic group has repercussions on the children of these families concerning school participation.
