Abstract

Respect, trust, and non-discrimination are human values that we are all familiar with, irrespective of our profession. Social assistance, more than other fields, asks for specific values and attitudes, some of them deeply rooted in general human values. This work brings into discussion the values that are specific to social assistance, stressing their importance in the training of social workers.
