Abstract

The transplants of organs, tissues, and/or cells of human origin were and remain great hopes for mankind, regarding the “renewing” of biological life. The medical innovations in this field made the appearance of a modern legislative background necessary, a background capable to ensure a good progress of this activity, from the point of view of the performers of such medical services (sanitary units authorized to perform transplants of human organs, tissues and cells), but also capable to ensure the protection of the donors and receivers of transplants.
