Abstract

This article is a retrospective study, anatomical and imagistic, that analyses anomalies of the inferior vena cava system. There were analysed 116 cases: 39 cases by dissection (34 %), 50 cases by echography (43 %) and 27 cases by computer tomography exam (23%) between June 2006 - December2007. There were distinguished anomalies of the azygos vein, the presence of double renal veins, anomalies of the hepatic veins, anomalies of the route of ureter facing the inferior cava vein, as well as the absence of the inferior vena cava in the infrarenal portion. Nowadays, imagistic methods allow the MPR reconstruction in coronal and sagittal scans whish allows the right observation of the vascular anomalies using mostly the angiographic CT method.
