Abstract

The cerebellar arteries are collateral branches of the vertebral artery and of the basilar one. The cerebellum arteries generate two categories of branches: the superficial ones and branches that perforate the cerebellar peduncles and enter the central area of the cerebellum, being distributed to the cerebellar nuclei (the deep branches). The superficial branches from a network of anatomies of the surface of the cerebellum in contact with pia mater that is inside the subarahnoid area and being wet by the cerebrospinal fluid.
