Abstract

Candida species are ubiquitous fungi and the most common fungal pathogens affecting humans.. The most frequent association has been observed in the case of penicillins and cephalosporines. The research sampling included 863 cases of candidiasis etiologically diagnosed at Clinical County Emergency Hospital of Brasov. The research was aimed at estimating the effect of antibiotics intake in the pathogenesis of differently located candidiasis. The apparition of the clinically manifested candidiasis could be observed in 49.6% of the assessed patients. The most frequent association was observed with penicillins and cephalosporins.
