Abstract

There is presented the case of a woman aged of 77 years, sent to the service of Medical Imagistic Radiology of the County Clinical Emergency Hospital of Brasov, for the investigation of a voluminous tumour formation epicranially, fronto-temporo-parietally to the right developped. Following the imagistic examinations carried out (radiographies, computer tomography and examination through magnetic resonance) there was accurately determined the tumour extension, the real dimensions of the tumour and the fact that it was invasively intracranial, the imagistic aspect suggesting a lesion (a tumour), intensely osteolytical, most probably an osteolytical osteosarcoma or a metastasis. The anatomopathological examination did not confirm any of the supposed diagnostic suppositions, the tumour formation being fibrosarcoma, a relatively rare type of tumour.
