Abstract

The physical particularities of the ultrasounds (US) may erroneously bring about the reproduction of anatomic structures, determining false images, the so-called artifacts in echography. Some artifacts may be of use in the echographical diagnosis, indirectly offering more information upon the examined organ; others may cause errors in the diagnosis, therefore their knowledge and recognition being necessary.
