Gastro-Intestinal Diseases Associated to the Infection with Helicobacter Pylori

Abstract

There is unanimous recognised that the implication of Helicobacter pylori in the pathogenesis of serious gastro-intestinal diseases. Our study has included 374 patients with digestive simptoms, hospitalized in the County Clinical Emergency Hospital of Brasov, between 1.01.2002 and 31.12.2005. The infection with H. pylori was more frequent in adult males from urban areas and has been associated with high percentages of gastric or duodenale ulcers, gastritis and, rarely with esofagian reflux sindrome, non-ulcerous dispeptic sindrome and gastric neoplasm.
