Abstract

The objectives of this population-based study were to determine the specific surgical factors associated with the obtaining of a negative surgical margin after BCS in patients with early-stage breast cancer. This study shows the importance of surgical diagnosis and technique in managing early-stage breast cancer with BCS. Low positive margin rates can be achieved.
