Abstract

The rupture of the rectus femoris muscle is a relatively rare entity and the delay of surgical treatment raises problems that are specific to the surgical technique. In this paper, we report the case of a 53-year-old male with chronic rupture of the rectus femoris by presenting a modified lengthening myoplasty technique that has good results, as well as theoretical considerations based on actual data from the specialized literature.
