Abstract

Testicular cancer is a rare type of cancer, accounting for approximately 1–1.1% of male neoplasms. The aim of the paper was to evaluate the prevalence of testicular cancer and the treatment performed in the Emergency County Hospital of Brasov, Clinic of Urology. We conducted a retrospective study between January 2012 and March 2017. We identified 24 cases of testicular cancer, with an increased incidence between 31 and 40 years old. All patients presented unilateral testicular scrotal mass, and 6 patients (25%) were accused of scrotal pain. Paraclinical, we investigated all patients following the protocol. All patients were treated by radical orchiectomy. We observed an increased incidence, at an alarming rate, in men during the reproductive period of life.
