Abstract

The case of an 8-year-old patient who, after an intense abdominal trauma, developed an acute pancreatitis with an imagistic pattern of peripancreatic spindles (collections) and pancreatic pseudocyst, with favorable evolution only under conservative treatment. The aim of the present case study arose from the severity of the condition (of the post-traumatic acute pancreatitis), from the fact that this condition is extremely rare, as well as from the favorable evolution of the case.
