Abstract

The motor plates form the fundamental morpho-functional layer on which the link between the nervous system and the skeletal muscles is created. They are situated in the middle part of the muscular fiber; they are all approximately at the same level, looking like a plate band. The majority of muscles present a single band. Synapses are disposed disorderly in striated sphincters and in articular muscles.
