Abstract

For dental practitioners is very important first to know the bacteremic potential of the surgical maneuvers that are going to be performed. Second, they must be aware of how local microbiological conditions, especially oral microflora, can induce post-operative bacteremia. Many authors report successfully using oral antiseptics before surgery. The main goal of this study is to prove by cross-correlations the value of 4 regimens of oral antiseptics in reducing post-surgery bacteremia after dental extraction, by decreasing the range % of oral bacteria.
