Abstract

Pellagra, cholera, and tuberculosis are three of the most common diseases that affected the population of Transilvania in the period at the end of the 19th century. The Romanian journalist and the doctor of that period were involved in educating the population to be able to take measures to reduce the morbidity of the diseases and, of course, to improve the accessibility of patients to doctors. The Transylvanian Gazette is one of the most famous journals of that period, where we discover a lot of articles in this field.
