The Role of Education in the Trichinosis Prevention

Abstract

The prospective research we conducted included 252 young people, of both sexes, aged between 18 and 51 years, from rural and urban areas, representing different locations, and with varying levels of education. Most of the questioned students were aware of the fact that human trichinosis was a problem of public health (88.5%), and a very high rate of them thought the sanitary education of the population was essential for preventing this parasitic disease (98.4%).
