Pumps represent the main consumers of electrical energy and are extensively utilized in water extraction, treatment, and distribution processes. This paper conducts an analysis of energy efficiency in pumping stations, which constitute critical components of urban water supply infrastructure. Two case studies are developed in which the performance of pumping stations is assessed using performance indicators. The obtained results contribute to the establishment and implementation of new strategies for improving energy efficiency. V. Cojanu, E. Traditional dermoscopic segmentation often faces challenges due to the presence of hair, which can generate false positives and obscure critical features of the lesion. This paper proposes an algorithm that effectively identifies and removes hair from skin cancer images, enabling clearer visualization of the skin's surface. This method combines image processing techniques with image reconstruction models to distinguish between hair and skin tissue, ensuring minimal distortion of the underlying skin features. The numerical results demonstrate significant improvements in the performance of automated skin cancer detection systems, highlighting the potential of this approach for clinical applications in dermatology. The system leverages FreeRTOS for efficient task scheduling and real-time processing, ensuring stable operation even during network disruptions. Experimental tests demonstrate a 98% fingerprint recognition accuracy, stable Wi-Fi connectivity, and low power consumption, confirming the system’s feasibility and scalability. This work contributes to biometric authentication research by integrating modern security techniques with embedded IoT systems, making it a viable solution for smart buildings and secure access environments.
