Abstract

The photovoltaic (PV) energy sources have became a reliable alternative to the conventional energy sources due to their environment friendly and endless nature. The PV systems are often embedded in Distributed Power Generation Systems (DPGS). Due to the increasing number of DPGS connected to the public electricity grid, more standards have been developed. Thereby, the energy control methods must be improved in order to satisfy the rules. This paper presents an overview of the PV systems used in DPGS which are interconnected with the public grid.
