Abstract

Among the various daylighting techniques, only a few of them are able to transmit daylight into deep interior spaces and even fewer can guide daylight into blind spaces with no connection to the outside. This paper presents the results of the experimental research study on the original integrated interior lighting system named SOLUM, which is based on the SunPipe natural lighting system and is able to light up blind interior spaces with natural light guided through a branched system using light pipes.
