A Hybrid Wind-Hydro System

Abstract

Adapting a wind turbine to a pump involves an electro-energetic chain with many variables. To simulate the system, a mathematical model for each element of the transmission chain. It was established a minimum wind speed under which the system can not function. A global efficiency of the system is determined and two possibilities for increasing the efficiency are presented.
