Sludge Recycling - Needs and Trends

Abstract

The paper presents a few aspects of the processing, disposal, and recycling of sludge, a product of wastewater treatment plants. First, emphasis is given to defining sludge and determining its components; then we present a few treatment processes and methods to dispose of treated sludge, as a useful product, especially in agriculture.
