Abstract

The paper presents the modeling and simulation of crack growth in three-point bend specimens realized in elastic-plastic materials. After the exposition of the theoretical aspects, an application is presented, and solved in two ways, which shows the feasibility of the method. For solving the problem the finite element analysis was used.
