Abstract

In a developing country, the fields of manufacturing and economics should not be considered distinctively. Based on teaching and research experience in the fields of economic engineering and manufacturing systems, the members of the Economic Engineering and Manufacturing Systems Department decided, in 2001, to organize the first Conference focused on these fields.
