A New Method for Recalculating the Program Clock Reference in a Packet-Based Transmission Network

Abstract

This paper proposes and describes a novel method to be used in a video transmission network that synchronizes the video signal with the audio signal, replacing the program clock reference with a new value from an onboard high reliability source. The intended goal of recalculating the program clock reference values was a success and the test works perfectly on the DekTec decoder.
