Abstract

The paper presents some aspects regarding the importance of the engine valve and tappet rotation during engine functioning. Types of different configurations of the valve trains that are used in internal combustion engines, auxiliary solutions for valve rotation, and parameters that influence the valve and tappet rotation are also described. In conclusion, the advantages of valve and tappet rotation as a function of life cycle and wear reduction are presented.
