Statical and Dynamical Analysis of Composite Sandwich Plates

Abstract

Sandwich plate with laminate facings and their equivalent was used for statistical analysis. Plate with microwave zinc plated steel sheets and sandwich plate with laminate facings were used for dynamical analysis. Displacements, stresses, and strains of sandwich plates were calculated and compared. The values of displacements and stresses were more accurate when the facings of laminate layers were used counter to their equivalent replacement. The facings of the sandwich panel affect its angular velocities and natural frequencies, while the lowest values were achieved by using zinc-plated steel sheet facings, which is related to their stiffness.
