Computer Program for the Control Chart for Means and Standard Deviations

Abstract

The chart for means and standard deviations represents one of the most important control charts by variables that can be used for controlling the processes. The paper presents a method of application for this type of control chart, based on a computer program. Using the measurements of the samples, the program automatically plots the control chart and performs the process stability analysis and the process capability analysis. The presented program can be used in plant practice for controlling the processes.
