Abstract

The position and orientation estimation of a stereo camera system is of key importance in 3D scene reconstruction. In this paper, the authors present a feedback analysis of an active vision system used to control the pan, tilt and zoom of an active stereo camera. The proposed procedure considered both a time and frequency domain analysis. The main outcome of the research presented here is the analytical computation of the maximum dead-time value which the vision system can introduce.
