Abstract

BIM workflow has become an internationally recognized standard in the AEC industry. Recently there has been an increasing demand for glass structures. Glass allows architects to manifest bionic architecture, by integrating surrounding nature with seamless structures. The following article showcases the usage of BIM software collaboration to design a special structure for a world-known brand. The purpose of this article is to present a simple workflow in which complex non-linear analysis can be performed on a structural model imported from an architectural/structural global model using integrated design.
