Abstract

Within the context of providing sustained development in conformity with the energetic and environmental strategies at the European Union level, emphases will be laid on lowering energetic consumption and environmental pollution by developing energy-efficient buildings and utilization of renewable energy sources. In this respect, the paper approaches energetic and economic aspects in relation to the use of heat pumps for heating and cooling energy-efficient buildings.
