Contribution to the Calculation of the Alumina Particles Concentration in Molten Steel

Abstract

The particle concentrations in continuous casting (CC) of steel with electromagnetic mould stirring (EMS) are calculated using source terms, by which both the volume conservation and the condition that the particle number is halved by collision and coagulation are fulfilled.
