Insulation Resistance - Degradation Criterion of Power Transformers Insulation

Abstract

Through the paper herein, the authors undertake a mathematical model of the process of insulation degradation by using the insulation resistance as a degradation criterion and by making use of the data obtained following the prophylactic tests conducted at power transformers. The paper proposes the use of the insulation resistance value as a degradation criterion indicator of the high-power transformer insulation.
