Abstract

The use of new adsorbents for advanced wastewater treatment represents a permanent research subject; flying ash is not only a promising alternative for heavy metals removal but also represents a path to sustainability in wastewater treatment because it doesn’t bring the secondary burden of energy and toxic raw materials consumption, which characterizes the synthetic substrates. The paper presents the results obtained in advanced cadmium removal from wastewater using flying ash with grain dimensions.
