The Replacement of Brake Shoe Brass Bushing with Antifriction Aluminium Alloy Bushing

Abstract

In this paper it is analysed the possibility of replacing brake shoe brass bushing with antifriction aluminium alloy bushing (AlSi12CuMgNi). It gives a basic description of the test bench, of bushing endurance testing procedure, as well as of the final results. One may conclude from these results that the replacement is possible, and this may lead to significant costeffectiveness.
