Introducing Asynchronous Structures in the “Structured ASIC” Platforms

Abstract

The paper proposes the introduction of new hybrid concepts meant to improve the digital integrated circuits performance from the price/speed/power dissipation ratio point of view, by combining the advantages of asynchronous circuits (low dissipated power and easy interconnection) and advantages of „structured ASIC” platforms (time-tomarket very short and low price per unit).
