Abstract

The paper studies an efficient voltage regulator for a self-excited induction generator (SEIG) working in a micro hydro power plant (MHP. The emulating circuit controls the reactive power circulation in the system, thus keeping the voltage in an optimum range. For the proposed configuration, simulations and experimental essays were made in order to prove its reliability.
